Sitting on the back porch of a condo rental watching the hummingbirds whiz by or listening to the demanding squawks of the newly hatched magpies, a summer visitor to Steamboat has many options to easily fill a week.
Start off with coffee at Off the Beaten Path. The baristas are friendly and accommodating, and you can browse the bookstore with your coffee.
Next over to the Smell that Bread bakery for a tasty treat. No chocolate bread on our visit, but the chocolate cookie was moist with chocolate morsels melting throughout.
Time for a hike at Fish Creek Falls, only a couple miles from downtown. There are hiking options from a few hundred feet to four or more miles, and the scenery of the falls, the flowers and the mountains is spectacular.
Back to town for lunch at one of the many restaurants. With all the options, visitors can certainly find something delightful.
A quick Yelp search for Happy Hour pulled up many recommendations.
Time for dinner, and Table 79 Food Bar has some wonderful selections on their menu.
Back to the condo for conversation and a little planning for tomorrow’s adventure!
